Power Cat

PowerCat Boys' Pre-Competitive Programs

Gymnastics Saskatchewan has developed the Power Cat boys program to help increase participation in rural and urban centers in a gymnastics level that fits between the present recreational and competitive structure. We hope to see many boys from across the province taking part in this fun and rewarding program.

Men’s gymnastics includes participation on six apparatus: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. The Power Cat program will cover floor, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar only. We have chosen these four events because they will physically prepare the gymnasts best for all six apparatus in the future (parallel bar supports will help pommel horse and ring supports, horizontal bar swings will help ring swings and long hang parallel bar swings), and, because club equipment for these four events may be more easily accessible or modified.
